Metro Jail Inmates Unloading Trucks Widespread Damage and Flooding - Aug 2005 - Hurricane Katrina Inmates and POL Personnel working together to help those devastated by Katrina
During the terrible hurricanes of 2005, Life Church, our covering and home church, and Promises of Life mobilized a major effort to secure, receive, organize, stage and deliver desperately needed supplies to the hurricane ravaged people of the Gulf Coast.

Over a period of several months, our Church and our Team mobilized resources, such as help from our wonderful Sheriff's Department of Mobile County to allow us to use inmates for loading, unloading and staging materials to go out to the needy in Mississippi.

Our Team members often used their own pickup trucks and trailers to load materials, food, clothing, water and other supplies. The team members then traveled all over the hurricane ravaged areas of south Mississippi to deliver the supplies to those who needed them the most.

Promises of Life is about people, helping them come out of destruction and pain. Making them whole and sound again, relieving their pain and making life better for them!
