Question: Why donate funds or property to Promises of Life Ministries? |
|   |
|
Answer: Promises of Life is a 501C-3 Tax Exempt Non Profit organization established and functioning to help others. We are not underwritten by any large parent organization, but rather depend on gifts and donations from individuals to continue our ministry work. We provide critically needed assistance to both the inmate and his family by providing help to the inmates family while he is incarcerated. Further we provide the inmate who has served his debt to society a "safe and secure" exit transition from whatever institution he was incarcerated in. Our program prepares the former inmate for his return into society as a different person than the one originally charged, prosecuted and incarcerated to begin with. Our primary emphasis and focus is on the life changing message of Christ. Secondarily, but still of great importance and relevance we provide a program to place the former prisoner on his way to being a productive, honest, hard working citizen capable of making his own way in the world. |

Question: I have some Household Furnishing such as Furniture, Beds, Appliances from a loved one's estate I want to donate to a chairitable organization. Can you use those kind of items? |
| Return to Top |
Answer:Yes, and very much so. A big part of our ministry is helping people in great need. Often a released inmate may have to start over completely. Part of the process is to help them with the very practical things such as furniture, bedding, appliances, towels and sheets, etc. We receive gifts of household furnishings and appliances so we can place them with the inmates and their families as needed. A Statement of Giving will be provided. |
