BEC101, Basic Electrical Construction.
This program builds on the safety and hazard awareness issues faced by the clients on a typical
industrial or commercial worksite covered in BEC100.
In addition to basic ladder safety covered in BEC100, and as a review in BEC101,
an overview of aerial lift daily inspections and OSHA regulations governing aerial lifts is covered.
Basic circuit wiring with Romex and residential wiring boxes and devices is covered. Basic conduit, or
commercial systems, including basic troubleshooting is covered as well.
The client is introduced to basic meter and troubleshooting concepts, reading a schematic drawing and
basic electrical formulas. There are labs and exercises, including a full blown wiring project on our lab wall, where clients learn to perform
real world tasks required for employment in the electrical field.
