BEC100

BEC100, Basic Electrical Components,

This is a program designed to introduce clients to the electrical trade that have never involved with electrical work before.

Beginning with a robust 4 hour safety orientation, BEC 100 sets the stage for continual reinforcement of safety and awareness in the workplace.

Clients learn to recognize common electrical fittings for commercial and industrial projects, how the components work together, and do some basic hands on assembly of the components in their lab exercises.

Clients learn basic romex residential wiring through class room lecture, hands on and labs conducted by knowledgeable, caring instructors and interns.
BEC101

BEC101, Basic Electrical Construction.

This program builds on the safety and hazard awareness issues faced by the clients on a typical industrial or commercial worksite covered in BEC100.

In addition to basic ladder safety covered in BEC100, and as a review in BEC101, an overview of aerial lift daily inspections and OSHA regulations governing aerial lifts is covered.

Basic circuit wiring with Romex and residential wiring boxes and devices is covered. Basic conduit, or commercial systems, including basic troubleshooting is covered as well.

The client is introduced to basic meter and troubleshooting concepts, reading a schematic drawing and basic electrical formulas. There are labs and exercises, including a full blown wiring project on our lab wall, where clients learn to perform real world tasks required for employment in the electrical field.
BEC102

BEC102, Basic Electrical Control and Troubleshooting.

This program reinforces the safety and hazard awareness issues faced by the clients on a typical industrial or commercial worksite covered in BEC100 and BEC101

In addition to all previous safety issues, fault current and arc flash risks are covered to familiarize the client with the importance of best safe work practices as an electrical technician.

2 and 3 Wire Control circuits as well as basic control circuit diagrams, the 7 diagram types used in industry, electrical symbols and formulas.
